Revolut, one of the most popular fintech start-ups in Europe has launched its Android App. The company has been serving on iOS since long but now they have launched the app for Android as well. The company was founded in 2015 and has revolutionized the way banking is done with its services. The app allows you to access all of the Revolut services on the go and it is one of the best apps you will find on Qbulletin Store.
Revolut for Android
Revolut is a UK-based banking app that’s been taking the continent by storm. It was launched in July 2015 and has already amassed 1.5 million customers. What makes Revolut unique is that it offers fee-free spending and exchanging, as well as a suite of sophisticated money management tools. You’re able to create local bank accounts in 25 different currencies, exchange between them at excellent rates, and spend without fees in any currency you like—all for a low monthly fee or a one-time annual fee. And if you’re curious how much your foreign purchases are costing you back home, there’s an easy way to see how much they would be worth in your native currency, so you can make informed decisions while you shop. Revolut also allows you to send money to your friends without any charges, exchange currencies at interbank rates, spend anywhere in the world with a virtual or physical MasterCard. The app also helps you save time and money by allowing customers to instantly import their transaction history from more than 20 other banks around the world. Further, you can open a UK account in minutes and send money instantly all over Europe free of charge.
Revolut also allows customers to request money from peers or companies and transfer that money into their bank account, create personalised cards and share them with others via Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp and SMS. You can see real-time notifications when someone pays you back or when payments are sent directly to your Revolut account or personal bank account. In addition to this, Revolut will give all users access to a virtual card which can be used for online shopping on any website that accepts Mastercard, including Amazon and AliExpress. The app also supports NFC-based contactless payments through Android Pay in countries where the service is available. However, not all Android devices currently support NFC-based contactless payments and the only way to find out whether your device does is to download the app and try it out for yourself.
If you are interested in trying out Revolut’s new Android app but have never used the company’s services before, you can sign up online or via the app itself. The company offers a two-tier pricing system: Standard Accounts are free while Premium Accounts cost $6.99 (£5.99) per month after a free trial of 30 days. Both accounts offer similar features except that premium subscribers receive higher ATM withdrawal limits (up to $1300/£1200), personal IBANs, and free overseas medical insurance with every trip they make abroad. The app will work on any Android device running KitKat 4.4 or later, though it is recommended that users have at least 2GB of RAM, 1GB of storage, and a screen resolution of at least 1440×720 pixels. Revolut has been keen to expand its services recently and has made a number of announcements in the past few months including the launch of its cryptocurrency exchange service and the addition of Apple Pay support for its customers in Europe. The app is available for download on Google Play, with Revolut adding that it plans to roll out support for biometric authentication in a future update. The company said that Android users will also be able to take advantage of all the other services that are already available on iOS, including free spending abroad, commission-free currency exchange in 24 different fiat currencies and access to cryptocurrencies.

How does it work?
Once you’ve installed Revolut for Android, you can login using your existing Revolut credentials (or sign up if you’re a new user). All your balances are shown in your local currency and you can transfer money between them by clicking on them and pressing the transfer button at the bottom. You can also view your account history by selecting an account and then clicking on the ‘History’ tab at the top of the screen.
Overall, we think that Revolut is a great bank app for those of us looking for something a bit different than the standard high-interest savings account. The app is simple and straightforward, which we like, and it allows you to manage your money from your smartphone with minimal hassle.
