How to Auto-Delete Google Assistant Recordings?

  1. First of all you will have to head towards the Activity Control page and check whether you are signed in or not. If not then sign in with your Google account.
  2. After this, you will see an option of “Auto Delete” under the “Web & App Activity” option.
  3. Now you will see two options of auto-delete. One is to delete the data after 3 months and another one is for 18 months. You can choose any one of them and you are good to go.

How to delete the Google Assistant Recordings Manually?

Now comes the steps for deleting the recordings manually –

  1. Here you will have to go to myaccount.google.com and sign in to your account for which you want to delete the recordings.
  2. After signing in, go to the “Data & Personalisation” tab and look for “Activity Controls”.
  3. Under Activity & Controls, you will find an option of “Manage Activity” and click on “Filter by Date & Product”.
  4. After doing this, you will have to find “Google Assistant” from the menu. Here you will see everything related to your Google Assistant which has been organised according to the date.
  5. Now you can delete anything you want and to find out recordings, see the file that are having an microphone icon by their side. From here you can easily delete all the recordings you want, anytime and instantly.

How to completely opt-out Google Assistant Recordings?

For those who want to completely opt-out of the recordings, they can follow these steps –

  1. Here also you will have to go to myaccount.google.com and sign in to your account.
  2. Now go to the “Data & Personalisation” tab and find “Activity Controls”. Here you will find an option of “Web & App Activity”.
  3. After clicking on web & app activity, go to the “Include Audio Recordings” option and here you will have to uncheck that box.
  4. Now a message will pop up and you will have to click on “Stop Saving” and you are all set.

The main reason behind keeping the recording is to improve the voice matching but for those who are not comfortable with it, can easily delete their recordings by following these steps.
